Q: What was it that brings you out to the show tonight?
A: I have a friend who is in it. I’m in the field, I work for a theater in Chicago. My friend is an actor, but I’m not sure what part he is playing.
Q: Working within the industry, how much research do you do before you come see a show?
A: I do quite a bit, but on this particular show I didn’t. I do know Paul, and I’m a big fan of his work and I haven’t seen him in sometime. He reached out to me to let me know it was happening.
Q: Tonight they are doing a talk back after the performance.
A: Post-show discussions are a good opportunity for the audience to talk about what they are seeing in the show. I think the best ones tend to be where the audience is having a dialogue with one another about ideas that were in the play; using it as a springboard to talk about their world.
