About the Organization
The Lark is an international theater laboratory, based in New York City, dedicated to empowering playwrights by providing transformative support within a global community. We provide writers with money, space, collaborators, audiences, professional connections and the freedom to design their own processes of exploration. We believe that playwrights are society’s truth tellers and their work strengthens our collective capacity to understand our world and imagine its future.

About the Program
The apprentice program provides aspiring arts professionals with a season-long September through June residency at The Lark. Apprentices will join Lark’s small staff in an arts administration experience supporting visionary playwrights and stories that reflect the vibrancy and complexity of our community. The apprenticeships are designed to serve as a bridge between an educational setting and the professional world by providing firsthand experience in the Lark process, training and experience in arts administration and exposure to the inner workings of an arts organization.
