POST: 'Gluten!' - they do not believe in touching

What's it about?

The weird married couple, πŸ‘« Copious and Hibiscus, have been trying to conceive a child for a while. πŸ‘Ά They’ve tried everything except for actual sexual intercourse. It sounds weird, right? How do they expect to have a baby without going through the actual process? πŸ‘€ Well in the neighborhood they reside, they do not believe in touching anyone but themselves - there is no hugging,πŸ™…no holding hands,πŸ™…no kissing,πŸ™… and they always have to be a certain distance away from each other. Copious's mother makes an unexpected visit, and tries to convince her son and his wife that life is better with touch and feelings.

This was one of the weirdest, yet most interesting plays I have seen. πŸ˜‚ The stage was set as an apartment throughout most of the play and it was supposed to be the future. Easy access to everything: watching television through a pair of glasses, all the fun high tech gadgets I wish we had right now. It was pretty cool to see, I didn’t expect it.

The audience surrounded the stage so it was easy to feel the actor’s energy. Which, by the way, was AMAZING! πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ Oh and, by the way, it was opening night so they were hyped to perform. And, I must say I was hyped too. πŸ’Although there was this one couple across the room who stared at me a lot... weirdos.😳

My favorite character was Copious, I think he was pretty darn awesome. πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒHe was so focused on keeping his lifestyle the way he knew and enjoyed it: safe never sorry.πŸ™…At one point he broke down to his mother, which was actually my favorite part!!!!!! He began to tell his mother the way he felt about being safe and how scared he was to step out of his custom. The best part, the yearning he had to touch his wife, to embrace her, and just too simply know how she smells.😍😍😍 I’ve said it once and I’m going to say it again I am a SUCKER for love. I was ready to ball my eyes out. πŸ˜–πŸ˜ Like.. β€œI feel for you Copious!! πŸ‘Go love your wife! πŸ‘°Go get her, tiger.πŸ…β€πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I weirdly loved all the characters in this play, but the one I wish I saw more of was the photographer.

He was so geeky and odd. 😳 It was the funniest thing. He is that guy that is going to be a 50 year old virgin, sitting in the park, taking picture of the birds eating tiny pieces of bread.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ He was the icing on the cake.πŸŽ‚ The funniest part with this goof ball was during the photoshoot he had with Hibiscus. She asked him to talk to her dirty in order for her to feel comfortable,πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚ and of course for him that was a big thing but to her it was normal. And he did it, and he was ALL up into it. It was hilarious!!!  They were all so blunt about their sexual emotions towards each other. πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

At the end of the performance, they invited the audience to the bar to have drinks with them.🍷🍻🍸🍹 I wish I could’ve stayed, not for the drinks, but just to hang with the weirdos. πŸ˜πŸ‘Œ
